In a technology magazine’s forum section I read a while ago, somebody said how to remove the recycle bin. But this was by editing the registry and all of that rubbish. This is a much easier way I discovered. So here it is!
1. Go to ‘Control Panel’;
2. In the search bar, type ‘common’;
3. Click on the link below ‘Personalisation’, labelled ‘Show or hide common items on the desktop’;
4. A dialogue box should appear. Untick the option which says ‘Recycle Bin’ and make any other desired changes (eg. adding Control Panel to desktop, or user folder);
5. Click apply and then OK;
6. Close all windows that I told you to open.
If you want the recycle bin, restart the steps except do what you like in the dialogue box.
